Suryakumar Yadav’s century (117 off 55 balls) was in vain as India could only muster 198 for 9 in their pursuit of a lofty 216-run mark. Reece Topley (3/22) was England’s most effective bowler.
Richard Gleeson, Moeen Ali, and David Willey each took one wicket, while Chris Jordan and Richard Willey each took two. When England decided to bat, they scored 215 for 7, with Dawid Malan leading the way with a 39-ball 77. Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone both contributed, scoring 27 and 42 respectively.
