Iran Warns Port Blockade Is ‘Act of War’, FM Abbas Araghchi Flags Ceasefire Violation

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a strong warning, stating that any blockade of Iranian ports would be considered an act of war and a direct violation of the ceasefire.

He emphasized that targeting a commercial vessel and taking its crew hostage would amount to an even more serious breach of international norms and agreements.

Araghchi further asserted that Iran is well-equipped to counter such restrictions, defend its national interests, and stand firm against external pressure and coercion. His remarks come amid rising tensions in the region, highlighting Tehran’s readiness to respond decisively to any escalation.
