The southpaw’s dominance allowed SRH to maintain a run rate of 12 throughout the innings. He found able support from Heinrich Klaasen, who provided a late-over blitz, scoring an unbeaten 37 off 13 balls* (3 sixes, 3 fours) to propel the total to a massive 242/2.
DC’s Valiant Chase Falls Short
Chasing 243, Delhi Capitals needed a miraculous start. While KL Rahul (37) and Nitish Rana (57 off 30) kept DC in the hunt during the middle overs, the required run rate proved too steep. Sameer Rizvi contributed a spirited 41, but the lack of a “big” hundred like Sharma’s meant DC were always playing catch-up.
