Jaishankar Calls India-Africa a Force for Global Progress

Speaking at the Africa Day event, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said Africa stands at the threshold of a transformative era, powered by its demographic strength, abundant natural resources, and entrepreneurial spirit.

He noted that India is also undergoing a period of rapid, innovation-led growth and qualitative transformation. Stressing the shared aspirations of India and Africa,

Jaishankar said the two partners together represent a significant share of the world's population and have the potential to become a powerful force for global progress.

The External Affairs Minister highlighted that India and Africa are well-positioned to seize emerging opportunities and co-create a future driven by innovation and sustainability.

He added that stronger cooperation between the two sides would not only benefit their respective nations but also contribute to the advancement of the Global South and the broader international community.

Jaishankar reaffirmed India's commitment to deepening its partnership with African nations, emphasizing shared development, mutual prosperity, and a common vision for a better tomorrow.
