Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar Meets PM Narendra Modi, Discusses State’s Development Priorities

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday, marking his first official meeting with the Prime Minister since assuming office as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Shivakumar described the discussion as constructive and focused on Karnataka’s key development priorities. The leaders discussed a wide range of issues, including infrastructure expansion, investment promotion, urban mobility, irrigation projects, innovation, and welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens across the state.

The Karnataka Chief Minister emphasized the state's significant contribution to India’s economic growth and reiterated his government's commitment to further strengthening Karnataka’s role in the country's development journey. He also expressed his willingness to work closely with the Union Government under the spirit of cooperative federalism to accelerate development, attract greater investment opportunities, and fulfil the aspirations of the people of Karnataka.

Shivakumar stated that stronger collaboration between the Centre and the state would help build a more prosperous Karnataka while contributing meaningfully to India's overall progress. :::
