Kharge Demands Amit Shah Statement in Parliament
Congress president and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah come to Parliament and make a statement on what he described as “injustice and atrocities” against children.

Kharge said the Opposition has been seeking Shah’s presence in the House for the past 17 days. He questioned why the government was allegedly avoiding a statement in Parliament and accused the Modi government of failing to address the concerns of students and youth.
“Instead of coming to the House to answer, Prime Minister Modi is making reels on Instagram at night,” Kharge said, questioning the government’s reluctance to respond in Parliament.
The Congress leader further alleged that the government’s refusal to make a statement indicated that it was “afraid” of facing questions in the House. He also said that if the government was unwilling to provide answers in Parliament, those responsible should resign.
Kharge reiterated the Opposition’s demand for an explanation from Amit Shah, saying that Parliament should be the forum for the government to address concerns and provide solutions to issues affecting the public, particularly students and young people.
