Robert Lewandowski shared a social media post ,he said, “I am very proud to receive this special award. Gerd Muller was and will always be a great inspiration for me.
Football is my passion. No one had to push me along this path. But I was fortunate to meet people along the way who gave me guidance and advice, and led me in the right direction. I would like to thank all the great people from my previous clubs. Thank you for everything we experienced together and everything I learned from you. I will always remember and appreciate it.
My current club – Barcelona is here with me. Thank you for your trust and the chance to write a new chapter in my career.
I would like to thank my beloved wife, family, and friends. I love you all very much, and I’m here thanks to you and your support.
I would also like to thank the organizers for this special award. It proves that I have been going in the right direction over the years. But I want to finish with one reminder for everyone….
I’m still going. And for now, I’m not going to stop.”
