Mamata Banerjee Says TMC Will Stay With Her, Backs Congress in Nandigram

Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reiterated her commitment to the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), saying the party will remain with her for as long as she lives.

Speaking about the current political situation, Banerjee described it as an “absolutely dirty game” and said her party was prepared to fight back.

She also expressed her opposition to the BJP and called for solidarity among the INDIA Alliance parties.

On the electoral contest in West Bengal, Banerjee said the TMC would support the Congress party in Nandigram, describing the decision as being in the “greater interest of the country.” She added that she would take a decision later regarding Rejinagar.

Banerjee also stated that the TMC would not contest the elections in Assam.

Her remarks come amid continuing political discussions involving opposition parties and seat-sharing arrangements ahead of the elections.
