Mamata Banerjee Urges Vigilance Ahead of Polls, Alleges BJP-Election Commission Nexus in Bengal Elections

Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal and Supremo of All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), has called upon party workers and citizens to remain alert and exercise strict vigilance during the upcoming election and counting process. Issuing a strong warning ahead of the polls, Banerjee alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in coordination with the Election Commission of India, is systematically removing state officials from border areas to enable the influx of outsiders into West Bengal. She further claimed that attempts are being made to influence the elections through illegal means, including the alleged entry of outsiders carrying drugs and cash. Drawing parallels with previous electoral practices, Banerjee stated that similar tactics were used during elections in Assam. Expressing concern over the counting process, the Chief Minister warned that officials may try to provide an early lead to the BJP and raised apprehensions regarding possible EVM manipulation. She urged party workers to maintain continuous monitoring until the final round of vote counting to ensure transparency and fairness. The remarks come amid heightened political tensions in West Bengal as parties gear up for a crucial electoral battle.
