The new year celebration ended in tragedy after a 35-year-old youth Apu Mallick enjoying a new year eve party was killed while he fell off the terrace at Parui Das Para Road at Parnashri.
According to the report, Mallick and his friends were drinking alcohol in the party when Mallick fell ill after consuming liquor. He was heavily drunk and went to the corner of the terrace for vomiting. Suddenly he lost his balance and fell down on the ground from the first floor roof. The incident took place around 2.30 am. His friends rushed him to Vidyasagar hospital where Apu was declared brought dead. His friends alleged that the doctor in emergency ward delayed the treatment after which they forced the doctor to visit him. Then the doctor pronounced him dead.
