Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has arrived in Tehran as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran.
Upon arrival, he was received by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, marking a key engagement in Pakistan’s role as a mediator in regional tensions.
According to diplomatic sources, Munir has been actively involved in Pakistan’s broader mediation initiative, which seeks to bridge communication channels between Washington and Tehran and support efforts to resume stalled negotiations.
Pakistan continues to position itself as a key intermediary in efforts to de-escalate tensions and encourage renewed diplomatic talks between the two sides.
