Piyush Goyal Eyes $150 Billion Semiconductor Demand by 2032

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has highlighted India’s growing semiconductor demand and the country’s ambition to emerge as a major global electronics manufacturing base.

Speaking about India’s electronics and semiconductor opportunities, Goyal said the country expects its semiconductor demand to grow to as much as $150 billion by 2032.

“We expect our semiconductor demand to grow up to $150 billion by 2032,” Goyal said, underlining the scale of the opportunity presented by India’s expanding digital economy and electronics sector.

The Commerce Minister also emphasized India’s goal of strengthening its position in global electronics manufacturing. He said India would like to become a major global electronics manufacturing base, creating opportunities for international companies and investors.
