New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian boxer Jadumani Singh Mandengbam on winning the silver medal in the Men's 55kg Boxing event at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow.

Sharing his message on social media, the Prime Minister praised the young boxer for his determination and commitment throughout the competition.

"Congratulations to Jadumani Singh Mandengbam on winning a Silver Medal in the Men's 55 kg Boxing event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. His success is powered by his courage, discipline and perseverance. All the best for the endeavours ahead."

Jadumani, a 22-year-old boxer from Manipur, enjoyed a remarkable Commonwealth Games debut, reaching the final after winning all his previous bouts by unanimous 5-0 decisions. He eventually finished with the silver medal after a spirited performance against Australia's Jye Dixon in the gold-medal bout.

The Prime Minister's message acknowledges Jadumani's inspiring journey and the resilience he displayed throughout the tournament. His silver medal further strengthens India's impressive boxing campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 and highlights the country's growing presence on the international boxing stage.
