PM Modi, Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez Hold Wide-Ranging Talks to Strengthen Bilateral Partnership
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held comprehensive bilateral discussions with Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez in New Delhi on Thursday, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to deepen strategic cooperation across key sectors including energy, trade, investment, healthcare, automobiles, and emerging technologies.

The leaders reviewed the entire spectrum of India-Venezuela relations and explored new opportunities to expand economic engagement and sectoral collaboration.
Discussions focused on enhancing energy security, boosting bilateral trade, promoting investments, strengthening healthcare cooperation, and exploring partnerships in transportation and industrial development.

Prime Minister Modi and President Rodríguez also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of multilateral cooperation and the role of developing nations in shaping an inclusive global order. Both leaders underscored their shared commitment to advancing the interests of the Global South and strengthening cooperation on international platforms.
The visit of Acting President Rodríguez, who is on a five-day official visit to India, is expected to further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries. The engagement reflects the growing momentum in India-Venezuela relations, particularly in areas of energy cooperation, trade diversification, healthcare, and investment partnerships.
