Addressing the media during her official visit, President Murmu said India and Romania are entering a new phase of cooperation marked by greater ambition, deeper collaboration, and a shared vision for the future. She noted that her discussions with Romanian President Nicușor Dan covered all major aspects of the bilateral partnership and resulted in a shared goal of doubling bilateral trade over the next three years.

Highlighting economic cooperation, President Murmu said the proposed India–European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) would create unprecedented opportunities for industries and skilled professionals in both regions. She added that India and Romania agreed to expand cooperation in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, renewable energy, green hydrogen, agricultural production, fertilisers, science and technology, digital public infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.

President Murmu also announced that she would address the India–Romania Business Forum, aimed at promoting trade, investment, and business collaboration between the two nations.
