President Murmu Boosts India-North Macedonia Partnership
President Droupadi Murmu expressed confidence that her historic State Visit to North Macedonia would mark the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral relations, highlighting the shared commitment of both nations to deepen cooperation across key sectors.

Thanking President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and the people of North Macedonia for their warm welcome and hospitality, President Murmu noted that this is the first-ever State Visit by an Indian President since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The President said she held productive discussions with her North Macedonian counterpart covering the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and global issues. Both leaders reaffirmed their close friendship, founded on shared democratic values, mutual respect, and a common vision for stronger international partnerships.
President Murmu described economic cooperation as a key pillar of the relationship. She said both countries agreed to enhance trade, investment, and business-to-business collaboration, with the shared objective of doubling bilateral trade. The discussions also covered expanding cooperation in information technology, agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, tourism, hospitality, and filmmaking.

She added that the India–North Macedonia Business Forum would play an important role in strengthening commercial partnerships and creating new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
The visit is expected to further deepen India-North Macedonia relations and open new avenues for cooperation across economic, cultural, and strategic sectors
