Putin Praises India’s Economic Rise, Says Modi’s Leadership Driving Record Growth

Russian President Vladimir Putin lauded India's remarkable economic growth, describing the country as one of the world's leading economies and attributing its success to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efforts of the Indian government.

Speaking in St. Petersburg, Putin highlighted India's strong economic performance, noting that the country's rapid growth is the result of sustained policy initiatives and governance reforms.

"India is one of the leading economies of the world that shows the highest rates of economic growth. This is not something that comes out of the blue. This is a result of the hard work that the government has been doing under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi," Putin said.

The Russian President's remarks come at a time when India continues to be among the fastest-growing major economies globally, driven by infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, manufacturing growth, and increasing foreign investment.

India and Russia have maintained a longstanding strategic partnership, with cooperation spanning energy, defense, trade, technology, and international diplomacy.

Putin's comments underscore Moscow's recognition of India's growing role in the global economy and its increasing influence on the world stage.

The remarks are expected to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations as both countries continue to explore new avenues of economic and strategic cooperation.
