Rahul Gandhi: Opposition Not Interested in Amit Shah’s ‘Lecture’ in Parliament

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, questioning his alleged role in the police action against protesting students.

We don’t want Amit Shah’s lecture. We want answers.

Rahul Gandhi said the Opposition was not interested in receiving what he described as a “lecture” from Amit Shah, adding that his remarks were aimed at the younger generation of the country.

“Who shot the students? Who gave the order to beat up the students with lathis with nails?” Rahul Gandhi asked.He further questioned whether Amit Shah had ordered the firing on students. “Did Amit Shah give this order to shoot our children? If he did, then he should resign,” he said.

The Congress leader also accused the Home Minister of being absent from Parliament for the past 20 days and alleged that he lacked the courage to face the House.

“For the last 20 days, Amit Shah has been missing. The Home Minister of India has no courage; he cannot come to the House,” Rahul Gandhi said.

His remarks come amid a continuing political confrontation between the government and the Opposition over the handling of student protests and the ongoing deadlock in Parliament.
