Sajeeb Wazed Warns Bangladesh Is Becoming 'Another Pakistan'

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's son, Sajeeb Wazed, on Wednesday expressed serious concerns over the security situation in Bangladesh, alleging growing influence of foreign intelligence agencies and warning of potential regional security risks.
Speaking during a virtual interaction with the media in New Delhi, Wazed claimed that India should be deeply concerned about developments in Bangladesh.

"What should concern India most is Bangladesh has become another Pakistan, on India's eastern side. You have another Pakistan today on your eastern front," Wazed said.

He further alleged that foreign intelligence agencies, particularly Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), have gained significant influence in Bangladesh.

"Foreign Intelligence services, especially ISI, has an open hand," he said, adding that if the situation is not addressed, Bangladesh could become a future hub for global terrorist activities.

"In the future, the next step of terrorists globally are going to be coming from Bangladesh, unless this is stopped now," Wazed stated.
