According to reports from Korean tipster Lanzuk, Samsung could introduce a redesigned hinge mechanism in the Galaxy Z Flip 8 to reduce weight, improve durability, and minimise the visible display crease — one of the biggest concerns associated with foldable smartphones.

The leak claims Samsung may reduce the weight of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 to around 180 grams, making it lighter than the current Galaxy Z Flip 7, which reportedly weighs about 188 grams.

The updated hinge mechanism is also expected to contribute to a slimmer body design, improving portability and overall handling during everyday use.

Earlier rumours suggest the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could measure approximately 166.8 x 75.4 x 6.6 mm, indicating a thinner profile compared to previous models. The device may also feature a slightly wider body, which could improve screen usability and content viewing.
