Suvendu Adhikari Vows to Rebuild Bengal, Says ‘I Belong to Everyone’ After Taking Oath as CM

Suvendu Adhikari, the newly sworn-in Chief Minister of West Bengal, has asserted that his government will work for every citizen of the state, regardless of political differences.
Addressing the media after assuming office, Adhikari said that the Bharatiya Janata Party does not require validation from critics, as it is rooted in the ideals of Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

“The political party based on the ideals of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee doesn’t need any certification. I am the Chief Minister now, and I belong to everybody,” Adhikari stated.

He also took a strong stance on the condition of the state, claiming that West Bengal has suffered significant setbacks over the years. “Bengal has been damaged a lot. Education is lost, culture is destroyed, and we will rebuild Bengal,” he said, emphasizing his administration’s focus on revival and reform.

Calling his new role a major responsibility, the Chief Minister urged critics to reflect on the electoral outcome. “Those who are still discussing the results, may they be guided by wisdom… Let them talk, I will only move ahead,” he added.

Adhikari’s remarks signal a determined start to his tenure, with a focus on governance, development, and restoring the state’s institutional and cultural strength.
