State to Felicitate NEET Achievers; Chief Minister to Attend Special Ceremony

The West Bengal government is set to honour the state's top-performing NEET candidates at a special felicitation ceremony to recognise their outstanding academic achievements. The programme will be held on Tuesday at Nabanna Sabha Ghar, with Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari expected to attend as the chief guest, according to sources in Nabanna.

The initiative comes as the government seeks to celebrate the success of students who excelled in one of the country's most competitive medical entrance examinations. Officials said the ceremony aims to encourage aspiring medical students while acknowledging the dedication and hard work of those who secured top ranks in the NEET examination.

Following the Chief Minister's directive, preparations for the event have been completed. The School Education Department has submitted a list of the top 100 successful NEET candidates from West Bengal to the Health Department, which has been entrusted with organising the programme.

Only meritorious students from the state who qualified in the NEET examination will be felicitated during the event. The Health Department has been instructed to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony, with administrative preparations already underway.

During the programme, the Chief Minister is expected to present mementoes and certificates of honour to the selected students in recognition of their exceptional performance. Senior officials from the Health and School Education Departments are also likely to be present at the event.

The felicitation ceremony reflects the state government's commitment to promoting academic excellence and motivating students to pursue careers in the medical profession. Officials believe the recognition will inspire future NEET aspirants across West Bengal to strive for excellence in their studies.
