PM Modi also praised the UAE President’s leadership during the ongoing regional crisis, highlighting his “courage and wisdom” throughout the challenging period. He further expressed gratitude for the UAE leadership’s continued care and concern for the large Indian community residing in the Gulf nation.
The high-level bilateral talks resulted in the conclusion of several key agreements spanning strategic sectors including energy, defence, infrastructure, shipping, and advanced technology. These agreements are expected to provide fresh momentum to the rapidly expanding India-UAE partnership.
In a major economic announcement, the UAE also committed investments worth USD 5 billion in India, a move expected to significantly boost bilateral economic cooperation and long-term strategic engagement between the two nations.
“This will further deepen economic ties,” PM Modi noted in his statement.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the outcomes of the visit would strengthen the longstanding friendship between India and the UAE while contributing to regional growth, prosperity, and stability.
The UAE visit marked the first leg of PM Modi’s ongoing five-nation diplomatic tour and comes at a crucial time amid growing geopolitical tensions and evolving economic dynamics in West Asia.
