Air India Phuket-Delhi Flight Hits Turbulence, 17 Injured

An Air India flight operating from Phuket to Delhi encountered a brief turbulence-related event during its cruise phase, resulting in a momentary change in altitude before landing safely at Delhi Airport.

The flight, AI 2379, was carrying 137 passengers and eight crew members. According to Air India, 13 passengers and four crew members sustained injuries during the incident and were taken to a hospital for medical evaluation after landing.

The airline confirmed that there have been no serious injuries reported so far. All passengers and crew were safely disembarked after the aircraft reached Delhi.

Following the incident, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, accompanied by Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, visited the hospital to meet the injured passengers and crew members. They enquired about their condition and assured them of all necessary assistance and support.

Air India is extending full cooperation to the affected passengers, while authorities continue to monitor the situation and ensure proper medical care for those injured.
