Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar Assembly Leader of Opposition, has reacted to the Bankipur bypoll result, saying that he accepts the mandate given by the people while simultaneously criticising the BJP government and its policies.

Addressing the election outcome, Tejashwi Yadav claimed that public dissatisfaction was directed towards the BJP government, the Chief Minister and what he described as flawed policies. He also targeted Bihar BJP leader Samrat Choudhary, arguing that the party's recent electoral setbacks reflected growing public dissatisfaction.

He described the two electoral setbacks as evidence of what he called the failure of Samrat Choudhary's leadership.
