Amit Shah Lays Amul Bengal Dairy Unit Foundation in WB
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday announced a major boost for the state's dairy sector after Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the new Amul Bengal Dairy Curd Production Unit.

Sharing the update on social media, the Chief Minister described the project as a "significant step" for West Bengal's dairy industry. He said it was a privilege to welcome Amit Shah at the foundation stone ceremony, which was attended by Union and State Ministers, senior government officials, industry leaders and other dignitaries.
Adhikari highlighted that the project reflects the strong coordination between the Central and State Governments, investor confidence and the commitment of officials towards accelerating West Bengal's economic growth.
He said the upcoming dairy facility will strengthen the state's industrial and agricultural ecosystem while creating new employment opportunities and improving the livelihoods of local dairy farmers.
"The project is a testament to our ongoing focus on fostering growth, generating employment and empowering our local dairy farmers. I look forward to this facility becoming a landmark of success for West Bengal," the Chief Minister said.
The Amul Bengal Dairy Curd Production Unit is expected to enhance dairy processing capacity, promote cooperative development and provide a major boost to milk producers across the state.
