Babul Supriyo Targets PM Modi’s Asansol Campaign, Predicts BJP Rout in 2026 Bengal Polls

By Editorial Team
TMC Rajya Sabha MP Babul Supriyo launched a sharp political attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his campaign visit to Asansol ahead of the crucial West Bengal Assembly elections. Taking to social media, Supriyo reflected on his past association with Asansol, recalling the affection and support he received from the people of the constituency. He remarked that the appreciation he now receives under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee far outweighs his earlier political experiences. In a strongly worded post, Supriyo expressed confidence that the BJP will fail to make any electoral impact in Asansol, predicting a “0/7” outcome for the party. He asserted that the people of Asansol had already rejected the BJP in 2024 and would continue to do so in the 2026 Assembly elections. The statement adds to the intensifying political battle between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP as campaigning gains momentum across West Bengal.
