CM Suvendu Adhikari Holds Key Investment Talks with Amul Leadership

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari held a significant meeting with senior leaders of Amul on Saturday, signaling a potential boost for the state's dairy sector and rural economy.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, the Chief Minister said he paid a courtesy call and attended an important discussion with Joyen Mehta, Managing Director of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), and  Amit Vyas, Chairman of the Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union and Amul Dairy.

During the meeting, both sides discussed Amul's ongoing and future expansion plans in West Bengal, investment opportunities, and strategies for strengthening the state's dairy industry. The discussions focused on enhancing milk production, improving dairy infrastructure, creating employment opportunities, and supporting rural livelihoods.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the investment and business expansion of a reputed organization like Amul would play a crucial role in accelerating economic development, generating jobs, and modernizing the dairy ecosystem in West Bengal.

Describing the interaction as highly productive, Suvendu Adhikari expressed optimism that stronger cooperation between West Bengal and Amul would open new avenues of growth and development in the coming years.

The proposed expansion is expected to benefit dairy farmers, strengthen cooperative networks, and contribute significantly to the state's agricultural and rural economy.
