Colombia Top Group K After Goalless Draw vs Portugal
Colombia secured top spot in Group K after battling Portugal to a thrilling 0-0 draw in the FIFA World Cup 2026 at Miami Stadium. Despite producing 36 combined shots, neither side managed to find the breakthrough in an entertaining contest.

Colombia started brightly with Luis Diaz, Jhon Cordoba and Jhon Arias all forcing Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa into crucial saves, while Ruben Neves made a goal-line clearance to deny Arias. Portugal responded through Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix, but Camilo Vargas stood firm in the Colombian goal.

After the break, Colombia continued to dominate possession and chances. Richard Rios, Jhon Arias and Gustavo Puerta all came close before Davinson Sanchez thought he had scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
The result ensured Colombia finished top of Group K after earlier victories over Uzbekistan and DR Congo, while Portugal advanced to the Round of 32 as runners-up.
Portugal will face Croatia in Toronto on 3 July, while Colombia take on Ghana in Kansas City on 4 July.
