Donald Trump Slams NATO, Calls Alliance “Useless” Amid Delayed Support

By Editorial Team 👁 43
US President Donald Trump has sharply criticised NATO, revealing that the alliance recently reached out offering assistance, but he declined the support. In a strongly worded statement, Trump said he had received a call from NATO asking if the United States needed help. While thanking the alliance, he added that such assistance would have been useful “two months ago,” suggesting that the timing of the offer had rendered it irrelevant. Trump went further, accusing NATO of being “absolutely useless” when support was initially required. The remarks highlight growing tensions and frustration within transatlantic relations, raising fresh questions about coordination and responsiveness among Western allies during critical geopolitical moments.
