According to sources at Nabanna, the discussions focused on strengthening Flipkart's operations in the state through the possible establishment of new warehouses, expansion of logistics infrastructure, enhancement of supply chain capabilities, and exploration of fresh investment opportunities.
The meeting also explored ways to further develop West Bengal's e-commerce ecosystem while generating additional employment through expanded warehousing and logistics facilities.
The engagement comes as the West Bengal government continues its efforts to attract investments across key sectors and position the state as a preferred destination for business and industrial growth. Officials indicated that the meeting with Flipkart's leadership formed part of this broader investment outreach.
However, neither the West Bengal government nor Flipkart has made an official announcement regarding the scale of any proposed investment or the timeline for potential projects. Sources said the discussions remain at an exploratory stage, with further details expected in the coming months.
