Fourth CNG Price Hike in Two Weeks Raises Delhi Fuel Costs

Consumers in the national capital will now have to pay more for compressed natural gas (CNG) as prices have been increased once again. Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) on Tuesday announced a fresh hike of Rs 2 per kg, taking the revised CNG price in Delhi to Rs 83.09 per kg.

This marks the fourth increase since May 15, resulting in a cumulative hike of Rs 4 per kg in less than two weeks. The repeated price revisions are likely to impact daily commuters, commercial vehicle operators, cab services, and transport businesses that heavily rely on CNG.

The continuous rise in CNG prices comes amid ongoing concerns over energy costs and fuel pricing trends. Industry observers believe that changing input costs and supply factors may be influencing the latest adjustments.

The latest revision adds pressure on consumers already dealing with fluctuating fuel expenses and could have a broader impact on transportation costs across the capital region.
