Google ends iPhone sticker envy: Here’s how you can instantly turn your Android photos into custom stickers.

Google Photos has long been praised for its powerful editing tools and cloud backup features, but some options available on iOS were missing on Android. One such feature — the ability to create stickers from photos — is now finally rolling out to Android users.

According to 9to5Google, the update lets users instantly turn people, pets, or objects from their favorite images into personalized stickers, without needing extra apps or special tools.

To use the feature, open a photo in Google Photos. A shimmer outline will appear around the subject. Simply press and hold on the person or object you want, then copy the sticker or share it directly to apps like WhatsApp.

Google says the feature is available on most Android devices running the latest version of the app and requires at least 4GB of RAM. The company is also developing a sticker history section under Collections > Stickers, similar to iOS.

In addition, Google Photos recently introduced “Me Meme,” an AI-powered meme creation tool, and is reportedly testing a new “Copy” button to make sharing images in third-party apps easier.
