Legendary Music Director Bappi Lahiri was cremated today in Mumbai.
His son Bappa Lahiri performed the last rites. Bappi Lahiri passed away in Mumbai last Tuesday at a private hospital.
Bappi Lahiri’s last rites were performed by his son Bappa Lahiri at Vile Parle’s cremation ground. Several Bollywood dignitaries were present at the funeral.
Bappi Lahiri, fondly addressed as Bappi Da, will always be remembered for introducing India to disco music. As a musician, he gave such songs to Bollywood which will always be remembered by the people.
Chalte Chalte Mere Yeh Geet Yaad Rakna, Pag Ghungroo Bandh, Yaad Raha Hai, Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost along with many more songs will keep Bappi Da fresh in our memories forever.
