Macron Welcomes PM Modi to France, Hails New Chapter in India-France Partnership

French President Emmanuel Macron warmly welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his latest visit to France, emphasizing the exceptional strength of the India-France partnership.

Sharing a message on social media, President Macron described Prime Minister Modi as a "dear friend" and highlighted that the visit reflects the deepening strategic relationship between the two nations.

Macron noted that discussions and engagements spanning from Nice to the G7 Summit in Evian and VivaTech in Paris demonstrate the growing cooperation between India and France across multiple sectors.

“This seventh visit reflects the exceptional strength of the France-India partnership,” Macron wrote, adding that both countries are opening “a new chapter for talent, investment and concrete solutions for our people.”

The leaders are expected to focus on strengthening collaboration in innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, investment, clean energy, defence, education, and people-to-people exchanges. The visit further reinforces the longstanding strategic partnership between India and France, which has emerged as one of the most important bilateral relationships in the Indo-Pacific region.

As both nations seek to expand cooperation in emerging technologies and economic development, the latest high-level engagement underscores their shared commitment to addressing global challenges and creating new opportunities for businesses, innovators, and citizens.
