Mamata Banerjee Calls for Grassroots Mobilisation in Bengal, Warns Against ‘External Interference’

Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal and leader of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), has called on party workers to ramp up grassroots mobilisation, urging them to deepen their outreach and strengthen connections with people across the state. Addressing party cadres at Chetla in Kolkata, Banerjee emphasised the need for discipline, unity, and continuous engagement with every household. She set the tone for the political battles ahead, underlining that organisational strength at the ground level will be key to countering opposition strategies. I n a sharp message, the TMC chief warned against what she described as “Bangla-Birodhi forces,” accusing them of spreading misinformation, engaging in conspiracies, and attempting external interference in the state’s political landscape. “The message is clear—we will not yield an inch,” she asserted, reinforcing the party’s stance of resistance against any perceived threats to Bengal’s interests. Banerjee highlighted that the party’s core strength lies in its governance record, credibility, and the trust it has built among the people of Bengal over the years. She framed the upcoming political phase as a broader battle to safeguard the state’s dignity, cultural identity, and democratic rights. With Banerjee at the helm, the TMC leadership signalled a united and determined approach, calling on workers to move forward with conviction, discipline, and unwavering resolve.
