Sitharaman Meets Air Liquide VP in Paris
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Emilie Mouren-Renouard, Group Vice President and Executive Committee Member of Air Liquide Group, in Paris to discuss strengthening industrial collaboration between India and the global industrial gases company.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed Air Liquide's role in supporting key sectors such as semiconductors, steel manufacturing and hospital infrastructure. Mouren-Renouard also outlined the company's plans to expand its business operations across India.
She appreciated the contribution of Air Liquide's Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India, which supports the company's research and development as well as artificial intelligence initiatives.
Sitharaman invited Mouren-Renouard to visit India and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration with Indian industries, particularly in the semiconductor ecosystem and other advanced manufacturing sectors.
The meeting reflects India's continued efforts to attract global investment and strengthen partnerships in high-technology industries, innovation and industrial development.
