Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal and supremo of the All India Trinamool Congress, marked the occasion of Eid by participating in celebrations across Kolkata and extending her greetings to citizens.

The Chief Minister attended the main Eid congregation at Red Road, one of the city’s most prominent venues for Eid prayers, where she interacted with attendees and conveyed her best wishes for peace and prosperity.

As part of her outreach, Banerjee also visited several neighbourhoods, including Colin Lane, Ripon Street, and Beck Bagan, where she met local residents and community members. The Chief Minister expressed that she was deeply moved by the warmth, affection, and blessings she received during these interactions.

In her message, Banerjee underscored Bengal’s long-standing tradition of unity in diversity, highlighting that communal harmony remains the cornerstone of the state’s identity. She called upon citizens to uphold the values of brotherhood and inclusivity, irrespective of religion, caste, or creed.

Reaffirming her stance against divisive forces, the Chief Minister noted that Bengal’s cultural fabric—rooted in coexistence and mutual respect—must be preserved and strengthened. She expressed confidence that the people of the state would collectively resist any attempts to disrupt social harmony.
Banerjee further emphasised that unity and resilience would remain key to countering challenges, asserting that the spirit of togetherness would continue to define Bengal’s path forward.
