West Bengal Chief and TMC Supremo Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday unveiled the Trinamool Congress (TMC) election manifesto, outlining her party’s “10 Protigya” (ten pledges) ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Positioning the manifesto as a roadmap for inclusive growth and governance, Banerjee said the commitments are designed to strengthen key sectors while ensuring social security for vulnerable sections of society. “I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal,” Banerjee said, emphasizing that the pledges span across all pillars of governance. The Chief Minister highlighted that the commitments focus on expanding support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and senior citizens. The manifesto also promises major improvements in education and healthcare, along with universal access to housing and piped drinking water. Mamata Banerjee further stressed the importance of administrative efficiency and economic transformation, reiterating her vision to position West Bengal as the “Gateway of trade for Eastern India.” Reaffirming her political commitment, the TMC supremo said the pledges aim to sustain the state’s development trajectory if the party secures a fourth consecutive term. “Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar,” she stated. The announcement comes as political campaigning gathers pace across the state, with the TMC’s manifesto expected to significantly influence voter sentiment in both urban and rural constituencies.
