Piyush Goyal Highlights UP’s Global Trade Potential

Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s growing economic strength, manufacturing capabilities and global trade opportunities at the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show.

Sharing his views on social media, Goyal said the convergence of Uttar Pradesh’s skills, industrial capabilities and global opportunities is creating new avenues for the state’s economic growth.

He pointed to the state’s expanding infrastructure, including expressways, airports and industrial parks, along with emerging defence, semiconductor and electronics clusters, as key foundations for development.

According to Goyal, Uttar Pradesh is moving towards becoming an export-ready, brand-ready and reliable manufacturing partner in global markets.

He also emphasised the role of youth, MSMEs, artisans and new technologies in connecting local products and capabilities with international markets. The broader objective, he said, is to contribute to the vision of a developed Uttar Pradesh and a developed India by taking local strengths to global markets.

Goyal further described the five-day trade show as more than an exhibition, saying it could serve as the starting point for new global trade opportunities that continue throughout the year.

The UP International Trade Show brings together businesses, manufacturers, exporters, MSMEs and other stakeholders, providing a platform to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s products and industrial capabilities to domestic and international markets.
