During a candid chat on the All About Her podcast, Saif Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu shared a fun memory of their first meeting—and the relationship advice that followed.

Kunal recalled that their first interaction happened over a game of pool at a friend’s house. While his team lost 2–1, he remembers Saif complimenting his biceps, joking that it still felt like a win. Adding to the humour, Soha Ali Khan teased that Saif not only complimented them but kept touching them too.

Beyond the lighthearted moment, Kunal also spoke about turning to Saif for advice during challenges in his relationship with Soha. Instead of a typical protective brother’s reaction, Saif offered practical guidance, telling him that relationships can feel like a rollercoaster—you can either step off or choose to enjoy the ride. Kunal described it as calm and sensible advice.

Saif, in turn, described his first impression of Kunal as “warm, funny, charming, and a great storyteller.” Kunal admitted he was initially nervous meeting Saif, especially since he was dating his sister, but the interaction turned out to be relaxed and friendly.

Experts also weighed in on relationships and family dynamics. Psychotherapist Sonal Khangarot noted that entering marriage, especially early, can feel overwhelming as individuals adjust to new roles and expectations. Support from family, along with space to grow and communicate, can make this transition smoother.

Counselling psychologist Athul Raj highlighted the impact of comparisons in relationships, explaining that constant comparison can lead to self-doubt. Instead, focusing on personal growth, setting individual goals, and recognising each other’s strengths can foster healthier, more supportive relationships.

Overall, the conversation blended humour, personal anecdotes, and insights into how understanding, support, and mutual respect can strengthen relationships.
