Suvendu Adhikari Says Park Street Woman Has Faith in CM, BJP After Viral Video
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari met the family whose video went viral after state minister Agnimitra Paul inspected a footpath in the Park Street area.
Speaking about the meeting, Adhikari claimed that the woman expressed faith in him and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He further alleged that former chief minister Mamata Banerjee had been sending people to the family and attempting to bribe the woman to make statements against the BJP.
The remarks come after the viral video drew attention to the condition of the footpath and the circumstances surrounding the family.
The issue has since become a political flashpoint, with the BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC) trading allegations.
