Fronted by Teja Sajja, HanuMan that released last Friday has earned INR 100 crore at the worldwide box office, the makers announced on Tuesday. It is well on its way to be a sleeper hit this year.

The Telugu-language superhero film is written and directed by Prashanth Varma, released on Friday. Production house Primeshow Entertainment shared the heartening box office update on the film on its official X page.

Film industry tracker Sacnilk stated the film grossed INR 55.4 crore net within just four days of its release. On its fourth day in theatres, HanuMan managed to rake in INR 14.75 crore net. Its performance at the worldwide box office has been equally impressive with the film has managing to rake in a cumulative INR 72.15 crore with INR 47.15 crore gross collection in India and INR 25 crore in overseas market since its release.
This Tollywood film had overall 80.11 percent Telugu occupancy and 18.41 percent Hindi occupancy on Monday. It is going steady in theatres as of now.
HanuMan was released alongside Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Merry Christmas’, and made over 5 times as compared to Merry Christmas on its release day.

HanuMan is set in the fictional village of Anjanadri and tells us about the experiences of a simple, happy-go-lucky young man who receives superpowers. HanuMan marks the beginning of director Prasanth Varma’s Superhero Cinematic Universe. Varma has officially announced 12 films in the Universe with 12 superheroes. The film’s cast also includes Amrita Iyer, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty and Vinay Rai.
