West Bengal PM POSHAN SOP Sets Delivery Timelines

Under the West Bengal PM POSHAN SOP, schools covered under the first phase of the programme must be identified and their names published in advance.

The responsibility for publishing the list has been assigned to the Chairman of the Kolkata District Primary School Council and the designated Nodal Officer.

The guidelines also establish fixed delivery deadlines for meals. Food must reach morning-shift schools by 8:30 a.m., while meals for day-shift schools must be delivered by 1:30 p.m.

The Annamrita Foundation will be responsible for ensuring that meals reach participating schools within the prescribed time.

GPS Tracking Made Mandatory for Delivery Vehicles

CCH Details to Be Verified

Existing Cook-cum-Helpers have been instructed to submit several documents and details for

verification. These include:
Bank account details
Self-Help Group information
Appointment records
The deadline for submitting the required information has been fixed at August 5.

According to the guidelines, failure to submit the necessary information within the stipulated period could result in cancellation of the concerned engagement.

Fresh appointments of Cook-cum-Helpers will only be permitted against existing vacancies and must remain strictly within the approved norms.

Separate SOP Planned for Egg Distribution

The School Education Department has also instructed the Kolkata Nodal Officer to prepare a separate SOP covering financial allocation and logistical arrangements for implementing the Chief Minister’s announcement regarding the distribution of eggs twice a week under the PM POSHAN programme.
