Amit Shah Accuses Mamata Banerjee of Encouraging Infiltration Ahead of West Bengal Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on Mamata Banerjee during a political rally ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, accusing her government of encouraging illegal infiltration into the state. Addressing party workers and supporters, Shah alleged that the Trinamool Congress leadership, including Banerjee and her nephew, has facilitated infiltration by denying land required for border fencing. “The BSF needs 600 acres of land to fence the border. However, Mamata Didi refused to give land, which led to infiltration,” he said. The Home Minister further claimed that infiltrators are being sheltered for political gains. “Mamata ji shelters infiltrators, and they, in turn, elect her,” Shah alleged, intensifying the political rhetoric in the state. Projecting confidence ahead of the polls, Shah asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the next government in West Bengal. “On 5th May, the BJP government is going to be formed, and we will ensure that infiltrators are identified and removed from the country,” he stated. The remarks come as political campaigning heats up in West Bengal, with issues like border security, illegal immigration, and governance dominating the narrative.
