Amit Shah Blames Mamata Banerjee for ‘Systemic Corruption’ in West Bengal

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Jalpaiguri, launching a strong political attack on the ruling dispensation in West Bengal while highlighting key national developments under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

Referring to the historical journey of Ram Lalla, Shah stated that for centuries, including during Mughal, British, and post-independence periods, Ram Lalla remained in a temporary structure. He credited the BJP government formed in 2019 for enabling the Prana Pratishtha at the Ram Mandir Ayodhya, calling it a moment of national pride.

Highlighting governance, Shah asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 12 years in office, following 12 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat, without facing any corruption allegations. He reiterated Modi’s assurance of establishing a corruption-free government in West Bengal.

Launching a sharp critique of Mamata Banerjee, Shah alleged that the state has become a hub of corruption, citing recruitment-related scams and accusing members of the ruling establishment of financial irregularities. He claimed that funds worth crores had been misappropriated and warned of strict action if the BJP comes to power.

Shah also addressed recent political developments involving Humayun Kabir, accusing elements of attempting to create communal narratives. He asserted that such agendas would not be allowed in Bengal.
Concluding his address, Shah urged voters to support the BJP, promising accountability and recovery of allegedly misused public funds after the elections.
