Union Home Minister Amit Shah intensified his attack on Mamata Banerjee while addressing a political rally ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal. In a sharp critique, Shah alleged that the Trinamool Congress government has distorted its popular “Maa, Maati, Maanush” slogan into what he described as “Mafia, Muscleman and Money power gang,” accusing the ruling dispensation of fostering corruption and lawlessness in the state. Highlighting the Bharatiya Janata Party’s vision, Shah asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to building a “Sonar Bangla” (Golden Bengal), inspired by the ideals and dreams of Rabindranath Tagore. He emphasized that the BJP aims to bring development, transparency, and good governance to West Bengal, positioning the upcoming elections as a decisive moment for the state’s future. The remarks come amid an intensifying political battle between the BJP and the ruling All India Trinamool Congress, with both parties stepping up their campaigns and sharpening their narratives ahead of the polls.
