Asian Games 2026: China Leads Medal Race After Day 3
China continued its strong start to the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026, holding the top position in the medal standings after the third day of competition.
According to the latest medal table, China has collected 32 gold, 13 silver and 8 bronze medals for a total of 53 medals. Japan, the host nation, is second with 11 gold, 16 silver and 19 bronze medals, while South Korea occupies third place with 6 gold, 4 silver and 17 bronze medals.
Top Medal Standings After Day 3
India moved onto the gold-medal column after its women's cricket team defeated Sri Lanka in the final. The country’s tally stands at one gold, four silver and two bronze medals, giving it seven medals overall.
China’s advantage has been particularly pronounced in swimming and other medal-rich disciplines. The country’s strong haul has helped it build a substantial lead as competition continues across the 43-sport programme.
With several more days of competition remaining, the medal standings are expected to change as more events reach their finals.
