R Madhavan made India proud as the actor’s film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect received a deafening 10-minute standing ovation at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. The biographical drama was India’s official selection for its world premiere at the 75th edition of the coveted festival. R Madhavan and the ISRO genius and space scientist, Nambi Narayanan, walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival amidst much hysteria.

 

THE NAMBI EFFECT MAKES HISTORY AT CANNES 2022.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect debuted today at Cannes to amazing acclaim from celebrities and visitors on the French Riviera. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect quickly became one of the festival’s most talked-about films, thanks to its huge global debut. That isn’t everything. The biographical play, based on the life and times of Nambi Narayanan, garnered a 10-minute standing ovation from the whole audience at the Palais des Festivals. From Union Minister Anurag Thakur to musical genius A. R. Rahman, everyone hailed the film with amazement.

 

 

WHAT WAS R MADHAVAN’S REACTION TO THE FILM?

R Madhavan stated, “I’m overwhelmed and excited by the feedback I received at Cannes.” It’s a strange time for everyone on Team Rocketry! By God’s grace, I am humbled and grateful. “I appreciate all of your love and support.”

 

 

 

R Madhavan makes his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film was shot on a massive scale in India, France, Canada, Georgia, and Serbia. R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of Nambi Narayan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The film will be released in theaters on July 1, 2022, after having its international debut at Cannes 2022.

The film also stars Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta, and Ron Donachie in addition to R Madhavan. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect also has cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya. The film will be distributed internationally in six languages: Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

 

TriColour Films, Varghese Moolan Pictures, and 27th Investments are producing Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film will be released in India by UFO Moviez and Red Giant Movies, and worldwide by Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co.
