The city, suburbs, and south Bengal districts woke up to overcast dull, grey skies and light rains
throughout the day. As per the weather forecast, intermittent rains will continue till 10 pm tonight with
the possibility of thunderstorms. This has resulted in a slight dip in the temperatures. Conversations
among denizens revolved around the fact that winter would finally descend in the city once the rains
stopped, and skies cleared up.

The Meteorological Department (MeT) has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain
over east India till Friday morning as a weakened cyclonic storm, Michaung moves northward into a less
marked low-pressure area over Chhattisgarh.
